First of all I would like to say “Thank you Mrs. President and I still love!”
You rock PGMA!!
Today President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo delivered her 42-minute Ninth State-of- the- Nation Address (SONA) this afternoon before the joint 3rd Regular Session of the 14th Congress. I say she was great. She delivered the best report of the country. She said “The state of our nation is a strong economy. Good news for our people, bad news for our critics,” and the President added :”We have a strong economy in a strong fiscal position to withstand global shocks….” I really admire her confidence in giving those lines. She has a lot more great lines on her SONA. I also love when she said “I know that this is not a sacrifice joyfully borne. This is work where it can be found in faraway places, among strangers with different cultures. It is lonely work, it is hard work. Kaya nagsisikap tayong lumikha dito sa atin ng mga trabahong maganda ang sahod, so that overseas work will just be a career choice, not the only option for a hardworking Filipino.” I almost cried when she said that.
Right now I really don’t know why people are complaining about the economy of the Philippines. It seems fine and doing great from the eyes of our Dear President and it is all under control. I am saying this not because I am rich, that I am not affected of the Global Crisis. No, I am working hard for my future and doing my best to be successful. Even though I’m a undergrad and as of the moment couldn’t afford to go back to school, I still know that the Philippine economy is fine. I don’t have a reasons to complain about the bad things that is happening to the Philippines towards the President because I know it is not her fault. The way I see it, it is with the people who complains and gave bad comments about her Administration. I don’t think that in complaining and criticizing her administration would help improve our situations. She has nothing to do with our lives. She is there to govern our country not to help you with your problems. If you complaining because you don’t have any money and it is because of how she is running the country, think again! I don’t think you should blame her, look at your self first. It seems that we need to look at our self first before we complain. She couldn’t help you if you are in dept or you have to pay for the rent and it is not because she can’t because it is out of your role as a the President of this country. She can possibly come-up to you and give you cash for your bills but what will it make you? YOU PAY YOUR OWN BILL… YOU BUY YOUR FOOD… YOU WORK FOR YOUR FUTURE… don’t complain because she has nothing to do with your life. We voted her to help the Philippines not YOU.
While I was watching the SONA, she gave me a teary eyes. She touched my heart and gave me more courage and power to fight. Like I’ve said I’m not rich but I can provide everyday consumption and pay my bills. However, when time comes that I really don’t have money to buy food or pay my bills I don’t blame PGMA for it but I blame myself for not saving or for not setting aside some amount to pay the bills or buy food. If you where listing to her SONA you could say that she only reported the best things that happened to our country but would you rather listen to the good news rather than the bad news? After her SONA one news reporter asked one of the people outside who were rallying agents PGMA. The reporter asked “What can you say about the SONA of Arroyo?” the guy answered “I don’t like it… it is the same thing… I don’t care what ever she said… I is all lies… The Philippines is still poor…” but the reporter ask again “Did you watch and listen to the SONA?” the guy answered “No.. I didn’t”. “NO… I DIDN’T”, how can he say that the SONA was not good and that it is all lies, he didn’t even watch and listen to what President Arroyo said. So this means that people are just saying stuff they don’t even understand.
Over all I can say is that “Don’t complain if you don’t know why you are complaining.” Don’t blame our President because the Philippines is poor. Don’t blame her because you are not able to find a job. Don’t blame her because you are not able to pay for your rent. Don’t blame her because you are not able to buy food. I read one of the comments in YouTube regarding her SONA, that says “Strong economy?… why cant i afford an iPhone!! “. YOU CAN’T BUY AN IPHONE BECAUSE YOU DON’T HAVE MONEY TO BUY ONE and maybe you spend to much on the internet watching porn. If you work hard and save for an iPhone then would you blame her for not being able to buy one?
Liked I’ve said don’t complain!! Listen!! Work Hard!! Be useful!!
